Here I sit again several months behind on blog updating. While I’m usually a stickler for posting everything in order, I couldn’t let this post sit on the backburner and risk the memories not being as fresh on my mind.
This trip has been something we’ve been looking forward to for a while. While the details of how everything was going to work took a while to finalize, what we did know was that Brittain and I were going to be making a trip to Jacksonville to spend what was sure to be a memorable vacay…because we were going to be spending time with one of our favorite people, Aunt CC. The thing about going to Aunt CC’s is regardless of how busy she is or what other things she may have going on in her life, it doesn’t stop her from doing special things and giving of herself and her time. From the time we arrived where she showered Brittain with TONS of gifts (it was literally like Christmas), to making sure there was never a dull moment (despite the unexpected cooler temps), even to sacrificing and jumping in the frigid pool with Brittain so that I wouldn’t have to (you have no idea how many times I heard “YOLO”!), suffice it to say, her generosity continues to humble me.
